Dr. Cecil “Chip” Murray’s sermons and interviews in order to capture how Rev. Murray has been a force for positive social change in Los Angeles for more than four decades. Rev. Murray served as pastor of FAME for 27 years, transforming a small congregation into a megachurch that brought jobs, housing and corporate investment into South Los Angeles neighborhoods. From the pulpit, he addressed key junctures in the history of Los Angeles and the rest of the country during the late 20th century—the 1992 civil unrest, also known as the L.A. Riots or L.A.
